Hello, I'd just like to say that I absolutely love Young Justice, I think it's one of the most mature and thoughtful shows I've ever seen, of any genre, and I hope that you get to come back to it someday. Anyway, I have two questions... well, two with a lot of subquestions, all about Doctor Fate and the events of "Misplaced."

1: In an earlier question, you mentioned that putting on the helmet of fate ages the body of the host. Did that happen to Zatanna when she wore the helmet in Misplaced, and if so, how come she wasn't sent to the adult universe like Captain Marvel was when he transformed?

2: What would have happened if both Zatanna and Zatarra had each put on the Helmet of Fate in their own universe? Would that even be possible? Would there be a separate Nabu entity in each universe with its own host, or would he have awareness of both universes? Would the hosts have awareness of each other? What would happen to Nabu and the hosts when the universes merged?

I apologize for throwing so many metaphysical questions at you at once, this just seems to be one of those scenarios that's full of story hooks. Thank you!

First of all, I apologize for the mistakes: English is not my mother language.

Then I'd like to tell you that I really like the animated Young Justice for many reasons. I love the variety of genders and ethnicities and the lack of stereotypes. There was a Japanese girl who didn't do Kung Fu or computers, blondes who weren't stupid or shallow, Black characters who didn't die in the first episode, and so on.

Now, there's something I don't like about Young Justice (and many animated shows, by the way): there's a variety of body types among boys yet all girls have the same impossibly tiny waist. It's very guilt-inducing for the girls who watch the show and don't have a "perfect body", that is 99.99% of them.

I know some male characters like Kaldur or Conner have incredibly huge muscles but all male characters were not like that: Billy Batson was skinny throughout the two seasons and the fans LOVED him the way he was. Moreover, Dick's evolution may have been explained by his training while there was not such explanation for the girls: in real life, most high-level female athletes have "ruler" body shapes, not impossible hourglasses. Also, some male characters like La'gaan or Garfield (I apologize for mentioning Garfield) look like "monsters" while all female characters look human (I don't count Miss Martian because she looks human most of the time). Why?

I know you probably didn't mean it but this is quite disturbing. I don't mind hourglass women but every woman cannot have an impossible hourglass figure. Personally, I exercise regularly, I eat healthy food, I'm thinner than average and I don't have an impossible hourglass figure because 1) I have intestines and 2) I inherited my granny's "pear" body shape. I've been heavier on bottom since puberty and I'm ok with it but some teenagers are not THAT ok because they hear all the time that every woman should look like Zatanna!

I apologize if I sound rude. I'd just like to tell you that a female character doesn't need a "perfect" body to be endearing, interesting or a good role model. Just after the episode "Secrets", I read from some fans on forums and some said "Hey, I like Greta, I hope we'll see more of her later". None of them said "I hope we won't see her again unless she grows some huge boobs, flat-chested girls are repulsive". In real life, people shouldn't grant less value to women who are skinny or plus-size so why should they in fiction?

I hope you don't take this badly. This is not an attack against you, I'm just wondering about teenagers' body images. Have a nice day. :)

I recently watched the first season of Young Justice and I loved nearly everything about it. But there was two things that I didn't quite understand.

1. The first being Red Arrow's logic in determining there was no mole in "Performance". He claimed that since he now saw them in action that there was no way they (Artemis/M'gann/Conner) would betray the team. Yet Artemis did just that on the previous mission (Red Arrow was there) in "Insecurity", and that mission even involved the person that leaked there was a mole in Sporstmaster.

Not to mention it was clear that Superboy and the others knew about Red Arrow's distrust of them. So why would they do something when they knew he was watching them closely? Plus, if him theorizing that his programming was part of the reason he casted suspicion on them is correct, then how did he overcome it with such little evidence?

2. The second thing I didn't understand was Artemis' sudden romantic interest in Wally at the end. I get that he was shown to be crazy about her, but nothing from when she showed up in "Infiltrator" to "Performance" gave me the impression that she reciprocated those feelings. She was only show to care about Wally to the extent that they were teammates and sort of friends. She treated him the same way she did all the others aside from getting annoyed by him occasionally.

The only guy she was shown to have any romantic feelings for was Conner. So her agreeing that Wally should have kissed her "a long time ago" felt really out of place. It's not that I don't think she could have liked Wally, but there was nothing there that made me believe she did before it came out of the blue at the end.

This is a question about Bialya and Qurac. These are both Middle Eastern countries (and according to wikipedia, both are located near Saudi Arabia and Iraq), and I am wondering about their conflict.

How long has this been going on? Since before Queen Bee took power in Bialya? After? Is there a Sunni vs Shi'ite element at work here, too?

Queen Bee's powers provide an explanation for how she is able to keep such absolute power in Bialya, given her gender in a Middle Eastern state... but her power only works in close range, so I wonder how much loyalty she has from her military and police force. Either way, it seems like a pretty liberal country by the standards of that region... which makes me think Bialya is, at least on paper, a Shi'ite state... at the very least, it doesn't appear that wahhabism has taken root in either state.

So, I guess what I'm asking is, in your mind, what are the religious politics of these two countries?

Unless my eyes were deceiving me, the description about this title is suggesting that this is EARTH-16 in the NEW 52 DC multiverse.

Does that mean the "Young Justice" universe that you set up in 2011 is no longer Earth-16 and is that why the show ended prematurely when it did? Did Grant Morrison NOT know that Earth-16 was already handpicked and used by you as you saw fit or is something else going on here?! Hi Greg. I have some questions about Rocket/Raquel if you don't mind me asking. Forgive me if any are "spoiler-ish"

1) Did you ever have plans to explore Rocket and Icon's differing economic/social beliefs in future seasons/comics? I understand that it would've probably been difficult since those are potentially controversial topics for a children's network, but I feel like you're savvy enough to have explored it discretely.
2)What team member would you say Raquel was closest to after joining the team? I always subconsciously imagined Artemis since to me they seem to have similar personalities and economic backgrounds. But then she's also in the "new girl" boat with Zatanna
3)When first joining the team, did Raquel have trouble adjusting? Seeing as she joined at the height of activity with the Light and dynamics within the team were already established, it seems like it would be easy to feel a little like the odd man out if I were her.
4)I try not to assume that everything canon in DC comics is automatically canon in the show, so I was wondering if Virgil and Raquel actually knew each other before his abduction? Did you ever have plans for them to interact in season 2 before the episodes got cut to 20?

The Justice League seems to have much political association with various global and international organizations in order to operate and abide by the law as they do. Given that much, if not all, of their members hail from or have ties/connections to the United States, has this caused tension between other countries? I understand that perhaps they don't view the American government directly responsible or even maintaining these superheroes, but has it ever raised paranoia or suspicion across other nations? Are there some governments that are not very accepting of the League, such as Biala(Though that nation was operating under Queen Bee)?

I just recently watched all of Young Justice on a friend's recommendation and I am so enamoured with the world and the characters you and the rest of the YJ team developed, so thank you for that. I especially loved Artemis and her family, so I wanted to ask you a few questions about them:

1. What kind of mother is Paula? Obviously, after serving her sentence she's retired from crime and is a good parent to Artemis, but before her jail time, was she much the same or more like Sportsmaster? Did she also train Artemis and Jade to fight or do crime, or did she try to leave them out of it?

2. Were Artemis and Jade close before the year their mother was arrested and Jade left?

3. While she was in prison, did Paula keep in contact with Artemis or anyone else (through letters or visits)?

4. Did she already know any of the Leaguers when they approached her about Artemis from her villain days?

5. After season 2, does she see Artemis and Jade (and Roy) regularly? What about Sportsmaster?

I've recently discovered Young Justice season 1 on Netflix so, of course, I've been binging it. It's been over two years now and I'm still upset YJ got canceled. You created such a in-depth and complex plot with such interesting characters. It is a crime it got cancelled so soon (especially in favour of Teen Titans Go which is just . . . just no). So many great animated shows don't get the attention they deserve simply because of their medium and I think YJ is a prime example. I have so very many questions but most would be spoiler requests so I'l keep it short as I am sure you have much more important things to consider.

1. With the advent of Netflix is there a greater hope for renewal for a third season or should I give up waiting and just be happy with what we got?

2. Would you know when season 2 is expected to come on Netflix?

3. Were there any characters we saw as civilians in the first two seasons that you had plans to introduce as heroes/villains later like you did with Mal and Karen from season one to two? (I know this is a spoiler request, I'm just hoping it's vague enough to get a simple 'yes' or 'no')

I am most familiar with Jim Harper from Roger Stern's novelisation of THE DEATH AND LIFE OF SUPERMAN, which includes some musing from Jim on his original career as the Guardian back in the Forties, his Newsboy Legion buddies who grew up to found Cadmus Laboratories, and their gift of a new cloned body for him so he could be a young, healthy Guardian again.

Given that the modern-day Guardian believed himself to be the original Jim Harper's grandson, and Roy Harper's uncle, that's obviously not his story!

Separately, you have confirmed that the Light founded the Cadmus Project, rather than taking over an existing institution.

Does any remnant of the idea that the Newsboy Legion grew up to work at Cadmus remain in Earth-16, even if they didn't found it?

I would guess not, given that it's unlikely the Light would have been organised long enough ago to have founded Cadmus when a group of men born in the Thirties would have still been active in the sciences.

(Plus, maybe it's a touch unbelievable that all of the Newsboy Legion kids would grow up to pursue the specific scientific interests necessary to be useful in a genetics company!)

Is Themiscyra public or a member of the UN? There's a mention during Usual Suspects that Atlantis isn't part of the UN at that time, but I was curious how much they generally know about the Amazons. Godfrey mentions the Amazons in Happy New Year as a possible alien species during his xenophobic spiel, so it's clear that the public knows that Wonder Woman (and possibly Troia if she has broken away from the Team to become a public solo hero like Red Arrow was in Season 1) isn't the only one of her kind. I just wanted to know how much interaction Themiscyra has with "Man's World" or if they are as isolated as they are in previous incarnations. Thanks for the fantastic series.

I just rewatched the YJ first season finale , great episode and the New Year kisses and Tornado comment always makes me smile.
Anyway, regarding Zatanna and Nightwing:

1) Did they love each other when they were dating? If yes, did they get to say it?
2) When someone asked if they still have feeling for each other you said "Depends how you're defining 'feelings'". And other tim eyou said the same but you added a "yes" at the end. So, do they still love each other? (I'm not asking in a romantical or platonical way, but if could clarify that you would make me the happiest men in the planet)
3) Did the last part sound like a marriage proposal?
4) I just brought YJ: Legacy, great story (Tula's death almost made me cry) and voice acting, the graphics and the gameplay weren't great but they still satisfy me. And I loved when in the middle of a fight you can hear Dick say "Guys, I'm whelmed"
5) Was Mal in the team by the time Tula died (YJ:L)?

I absolutely loved Young Justice; it was probably my favor take on the DC universe. Your take on the world and the characters was absolutely perfect. My only "criticism" is that their weren't more episodes or comics expand on earth 16. I especially loved Artemis's character and the fact that DC hasn't incorporated her into the New 52 in a significant way leaves me completely bewildered. I loved the buildup to Darkseid, my favorite comic book villain, because based on the effectiveness of the other villain I really felt like he was going to be a huge threat and finally be portrayed as the brilliant strategist, manipulator, and powerhouse that utterly dwarf the Justice League that Jack Kirby wrote. Hopefully we'll see some of the plans you had for Darkseid in the future.

Was it true John DiMaggio was set to voice Darkseid or was that just BS internet rumors?

I'm really looking forward to Star Wars Rebels.

Maybe this will sound silly but the episode "Downtime" sometimes made me think of the Andersen story, "the little mermaid" (not the Disney version). OK, I know this sounds silly but here's what I noticed:

- The mermaid lives underwater;
- She's young (15)
- She has her head in the clouds (all the time);
- She has a crush on someone and wants to give up everything to be with him;
- He's nice with her, yet he loves someone else;
- She's heartbroken and she gives up because she wants him to be happy;
- She has sisters who actually try to help her;
- She sacrifices herself (by dying) and evolves into a "creature of the air".

Now look at the episode:

- Kaldur lives underwater;
- He's young (16)
- He has his head in the clouds (just now)
- He has a crush on someone and wants to give up everything to be with her;
- She's nice with him, yet she loves someone else;
- He's heartbroken and he gives up because he wants her to be happy;
- He has friends (the team) who actually care for him;

Now, was all this intentional or am I imagining things?

If Guardian (Jim Harper) is a clone of the original Speedy, which I'm assuming means they are genetically identical, why is the Roy clone of speedy a good amount shorter than Jim Harper even though at start of Invasion he is 23-24 and approximately a full gown adult? Shouldn't they have ended up at the same height or does the cloning process stunt growth after it is done?

I have a couple of questions regarding your wonderful version of the Martians.

1) Do your Martians lay eggs? I remember they did in the Barsoom stories,and their rather reptilian appearance and large families makes me wonder.

2) My second question about identity politics and cultural norms on Mars-16. How common is it for denizens of Mars-16 to adopt a single non-default form as the primary expression of their identity, as M'gann has?

J'onn and B'arzz O'oomm seemed nonplussed by M'gann's choice of form (aside from B'arzz's comment about her passing as Green), so I got the impression that it isn't something that's violating some great taboo. But is such individual self-determination considered odd?

1) Did they broke up before or after Legacy?
2) You said that Batman offered to reveal his secret identity to Zatanna and asked her to move to the manor. We know that she moved to the Cave but did Bruce told her his identity anyway?
3) You also said that Nightwing hides his identity from newbies. Does that mean that the original team knows? And Troia and Bumblebee?
4) Is Zatanna's birthday the same as in the original comics? (May 20th)

Hi Greg; so after reviewing some of the questions related to Artemis and Nightwing, I ran across this:

"Anyway, it's unfortunate, but all of Dick Grayson's digital photos were erased during the E.M.P. that Artemis set off in "Homefront". Plus, fans forbid us from allowing Dick to laugh anymore in Season Two. We received death threats.
I would have thought that was obvious from watching the show. I mean, dude, note the timestamp."

I wanted to ask about that particular picture that Dick trolled/snapped of himself with Artemis during her first day at hew new school. I get that the EMP pretty much eliminated all the data from Dick's stuff, presumably with this picture included but we see it appear again in "Depths" for YJ:I.

So, to recapitulate the question: Given that the EMP still knocked everything out, it seems that Dick still has that particular image. Did he ever get to laugh about it with Artemis?

Hi Greg, I just had a question about Klarion. I have read that he's supposedly the most powerful member of The Light and it seems his successes against the Team reflect this. The only person portrayed as capable enough to stop him is Dr. Fate, and so I had two questions:

1: Because the Justice League represents/maintains order, why had Klarion not made it his goal to annihilate them before the induction of Dr. Fate? It seems there was a period of time where Kent Nelson was out of the game and the mask was unused.

2: Is there anyone on the team (as far as season two) who is capable of handling Klarion? I feel like there was little potential to demonstrate this as Klarion was assumed to be overly powerful and relegated to support roles for The Light.

I'm a huge fan of Young Justice, as I'm sure you hear all the time, but really, this world that you've built truly is a masterpiece. My sort of "theme" for this post is about potential ideas that ultimately did not end up being included in the run of the show (obviously doing my very, very best to avoid requesting SPOILERS, NO COMMENT. ;))

1.) The romantic relationships you crafted for the characters are phenomenal, and showcase a wide range of feelings from true love, to teen lust. Did you ever have a thought of including a potentially gay/lesbian character or relationship? (To avoid spoilers, this is directed solely at characters that you have decided definitively are NOT gay, but could have been at one point in the creative process.)
1a. If you had had such plans for a character/relationship, do you think this would be something Cartoon Network would have been okay with?

2.) Did you know from the beginning of the show, where you wanted Wally's arc to end up, culminating in his heroic sacrifice at the end of Invasion? I ask this primarily because, what with his role in the comics, there was a glaring potential other option available that you guys chose not to explore. I found this particularly interesting at the beginning of Invasion when we learned that Rocket and Zatanna had joined the League, and at the end of Invasion, with Wally's death. With Zatanna and Wally, as the second Flash, both being members of the League in the comics, it would have been an interesting segue to have them be the two team members that moved up to the League during the 5-Year Gap. Was this ever considered? Likewise, in the comics, Barry Allen heroically sacrificed himself in a (well actually THE) crisis, leaving Wally to become Flash and Bart to eventually become his Kid Flash. Was this considered as a possibility for the ending of Invasion?

3.) What led you to choose Batman for season 1, Captain Atom for season 2, and Black Canary for the potential season 3 as the Leaders of the League? Were other members in consideration at different times for different reasons, or did you have a pretty clear idea of who you wanted in charge?
Two things I found particularly interesting about how you handled the leadership of the league:
3a. How Dick and Bruce never lead the team and the League side-by-side, with Aqualad leading the team under Batman, and Nightwing leading the team alongside Captian Atom. Was this a conscious choice/deciding factor in the selection of leaders for both teams?
3b. How Captain Atom, a generally "less-known" member of the League (compared to say Aquaman, Hal, Barry, Black Canary, or Green Arrow, of the members that did not go to Rimbor) was selected as League leader for Season 2. I'm wondering both, how you came to the decision to make Captain Atom leader of the League during Invasion, and also, what is his status with the public on Earth-16? Is he as "famous" as Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and the others?

I had a question regarding the adaptation of original characters from television to their comic book counterparts. One of the more displayed occurrences of the comic book integrating a character from a television series was with DC comics integrating Harley Quinn from the Batman: The Animated Series. Since you had similar experience when the Aqualad character you created in conjunction with Brandon Vietti and Phil Bourassa became the official Aqualad of the DC comics universe, I thought you could answer a few questions on the subject.

1. What is the official process a comic book marketing company must use in order for its writers to begin using an original character? Do representatives from the comic book corporations contact writers from the television program and make negotiate to gain permission from you and other important figure heads on the television program?

2. How long does the process take for the comic book corporation to acquire all of the rights to the character and include the individual in the comic books?

3. How do these companies determine what makes an original character worthy of being integrated into the comic book continuity of these fictional universes? Since the version of the Aqualad character you created became the official one in the DC Comics universe, I imagine that the officials representing the comic book company would have explained what properties stood out the most.

4. Which party retains the copyright stemming from the creation of the character?

5. What are the chances that another one of your original characters from your Young Justice series, Green Beetle, will be adapted for the DC Comics continuity? After seeing the show, I was very surprised to learn everything about the character had not already been adapted from the comic books, but was an original creation on your part. Despite the limited screen time compared to some of the main characters, the character was fleshed-out and well-developed. I thought you had put enough creativity for the character to make a jump to the comic book continuity.

I was just reading your latest responses and someone asked why the Justice League didn't regrow Roy's arm, to which you responded: "Is that easier than I think it is?"

I don't get it...your a fantisy writer. Everything is easy in fantasy fiction. I mean your own show has the technology for cloning, instantanious travel as far as other solar systems, shrinking to subatomic sizes, manipulating elemental forces, traveling through time, etc. Most of which break all known laws of physics.
Regenerating lost limbs really isn't that far fetched even in the real world, where we're growing ears on the backs of mice & cloning whole animals or just organs, and advancing every day.
And all that aside, couldn't Zatanna just say "Worger S'yor mar!" at any time?

I understand that Roy had to be missing an arm for the story to play out how you wanted it to, and maby he likes his cybernetic arm better anyway and doesn't want a regular one...but why act like a near-reality wouldn't be a simple task (even for an okay writer, but especially for you) in a universe where the impossible is commonplace?

Hi, Greg! This may be a little late, (or, well, very late), but I wanted to tell you that I'm a big fan of your work. (Though, you've probably heard that a lot.)

You did a great job with Young Justice, (and, I'm sure, your other works). You, Brandon, and all of the other people who put there all into collaborating and working on the show. It was one of the most well done and tasteful cartoons I've ever seen; entertaining, suspenseful, and worth watching. I was sorry to see it go, and I still have high hopes for a third season some time in the future.

Again, you, (and the others, because I don't want to sell them short), did a great job with the show. I can't imagine how hard it is to take DC comic characters, (iconic ones like 'Nightwing' and 'Kid Flash' and countless others), and to try and put them into an alternate timeline, making them similar but different, too. You all did a fantastic job with it, though.

I'm sorry that I can't say more, (but it would probably all sound the same with the general them of 'I love Young Justice). I just want you to know that you guys made me week(s) with your episodes, so, thank you for all of the time and hard work you all put into Young Justice, because it definitely showed and was truly a high caliber show.

Got a question based on a Young Justice ramble you did a year ago:
"You've seen memorial holograms for Jason Todd/Robin and Tula/Aquagirl. There are four potential scenarios for those two characters coming back:
Scenario A) Both are going to come back.
Scenario B) Jason is going to come back, but Tula is staying dead.
Scenario C) Tula is going to come back, but Jason is staying dead.
Scenario D) Both are staying dead.
Break it down like this, and it becomes clear why I won't answer any questions about either character in this regard. Assume, just as a hypothetical example, our plan was Scenario C. Then someone asks me about Jason. They say, the show is over; if he's really dead, why not tell us. This sounds logical (in the moment), so I state that Jason is staying dead. No harm, no foul. I've only confirmed something that the show itself already stated. No big deal. That is, until someone else asked me about Tula. I don't want to answer this one, of course, because I want her resurrection to be a surprise. But I also don't want to lie. So I go for my standard "SPOILER REQUEST. NO COMMENT." But then someone realizes that I was willing to be clear about Jason, but not about Tula. Ipso facto, Tula must be coming back. And I've just spoiled my own show. Which, as I'm sure you know, I am quite LOATHE to do. Clear?"

But ressurecting characters after doing a death scene doesn't seem to be your thing based on this post:

So I didn't want our series to try to fool you on that subject (for more than a few minutes). You'd know right up front that he was alive and well, even if the cast all thought he was gone. That even seems to hold true in young justice too.
-In Failsafe all the characters that "DIED" were revealed to be alive at the end because it was a training exercise gone wrong.
-In Auld Acquaintance you had us believe that the REAL Roy Harper was dead only to reveal he was cryogenically frozen by cadmus and taken by the light.
-In Depths you had us believe Artemis was dead for almost 22 minutes only to reveal that she wasn't by the end of the episode.
-In Summit you faked us out with Artemis and Aqualad again, but also showed that wasn't the case after that.

All of these characters being alive were revealed BY THE END of the episode at the latest. But for Tula and Wally, that wasn't what happened.

So is there a reason you would try and make us believe that Wally and Tula coming back is a possibility after doing a death scene in which neither are revealed to be alive by the end? Cause judging from your past work up until this point, that doesn't seem to be your thing.
(Also I'm not counting Jason Todd in this because we never saw how "the death scene" went down, nor it's aftermath. All were told is what the characters know. To me that's not the same as showing a characters death or "death" to your audience.)

I have to admit that despite Wally being my favorite DC character that I had a love/hate relationship with Young Justice's version of the character (or perhaps with the execution of his story?). And I've noticed this is a pretty common feeling within the fandom as Wally is not only one of the more popular characters from the show, but he's also near the top when it comes to the most disliked as well.

Anyway, someone brought up some of the big perceived flaws about Wally's character that I had, and you said they chose to interpret Wally in the most negative light possible, and that wasn't how you guys saw him. So would it be okay to ask how you guys viewed Wally and his story? I'm not asking you to go into great detail, but maybe some sort of general overview? I know that certain things or ideas don't always translate over onto the show as well as people would like for a number of legitimate reasons (or people like myself just miss things), so I'm curious how you viewed Wally and his story.

How exactly was Wally shown to be insecure in Infiltrator? I've rewatched the episode multiple times, and I just don't see it. Aside from his good-natured "Kid Flash; never heard of you" line to Artemis, he was entirely civil with her after he fell and she made fun of him until Roy showed up. It wasn't until Roy started to get upset about Oliver replacing him with Artemis (and subsequently leaving because of her) that Wally showed any signs of hostility towards her.

And going by what was established about Wally's character, it makes much more sense that his hostility was in support of his friend (Roy) than due to some sort of insecurity. Everything even seemed to play out that way. Wally finally accepts her "taking Roy's spot" after he begrudgingly shakes her hand at the end, and by the next episode, he appears to be completely over it as he's trying to joke around with Artemis about magic. It didn't appear to have anything to do with him being insecure at all from what I can see.

My question is just this: worst-case-scenario, let's say five years or so from now, YJ still hasn't come back for a third season in cartoon or comic form. After all that time has passed and there's still no way to let us viewers continue the show, would you consider giving us fans some closure about certain character's deaths/revivals?

I completely understand and respect you not wanting to spoil your own show at the present, but I also don't want to be thinking "what if they're NOT really dead, what if they ARE really dead" ten years from now.

I'm not asking for spoilers, just asking whether you'll consider giving them in the future, if there's ever a long period of time with no hope of a continuation of the show.

Why did you guys decide to use Wally West as one of the members of the original team on Young Justice? Was it because he was a vastly popular character in the comics (and therefore would be popular on the show)? Was it simply because he was one of the original sidekicks? Or was he just a placeholder speedster until Bart could be brought in?

I ask because it certainly seemed like the show never put as much effort and thought into his character and story that it did any of the other lead characters throughout the two seasons. You guys completely skipped over important parts of his story and never established things that were supposedly vital to the character on the show. Having to come here to find out that he was insecure about his speed relative to Barry (pretty important since he died because of that), or what Artemis might like about him, or why he wasn't helping out with the alien invasion after his confrontation with Dick during the second season isn't something that should be necessary. Which meant that both he and the stories he was a part of on the show suffered greatly. Also, you even mentioned that Wally was never a priority for the show like the other five members of the original team were.

So why use a valuable roster spot and screen-time on a character that you guys obviously weren't all that invested in? It's not like he was ever relevant to the plot aside from being Artemis' love interest, which any other character could have been, and being the character that died. The fact that he disappeared for a long stretch and was ultimately killed off during season two shows he wasn't important to the show like the others. That he was the one "main" character you guys felt the show could do without. And I got the feeling from how the show treated the character that you guys didn't care all that much about him, either.

And it's not that I didn't like Wally as I liked him well enough. Though I'm honestly not sure if I would have liked YJ's Wally if I didn't feel a pre-established connection to the character (thanks to the comics and Justice League/Unlimited) that allowed me to excuse his behavior/faults that the show never bothered explaining. I ask simply because he didn't bring much to the overall plot of the show in either season as he was just a support character (his relationships with Artemis, Dick, and Bart were portrayed as one-sided too) and the show never bothered examining the important aspects of his character and story like the others. It just seems strange to have a roster of six, and then treat five characters one way and Wally another. I mean, there was probably another character out there that you guys could have made relevant to the plot and/or been interested in exploring their character, right?

I just wanted to write and just give you some thanks for some of the great shows you have helped create, Greg.

Young Justice I enjoyed thoroughly, though I am more a fan of the first season than the second; I like fewer characters and more characterization as opposed to detailed plots just as a personal preference. I will also say I was not a fan of how Wally West was handled but I am sure you have heard your share of them. I will just say that the Wally of the comics and the Wally of Young Justice seemed to be entirely different characters which seemed a shame to me, given all that could have been done with him. He had such a rich comic book history that I really do not understand why more was not done with it but that is your creative decision. Just not my cup of tea.

I adored your version of Dick Grayson however. He was competent without being overly skilled; he suffered under pressure but learned from what he was exposed to. His relationship with Wally in Season 1 was one of my all time favorites. Thanks for the great run!

Secondly, I could not write you without mentioning Gargoyles. I mean, wow. I think I was in fifth or sixth grade when I first caught it on the air. I just remember being deeply enthralled with it. I thought Elisa was an awesome character, as I did not see a whole lot of strong female leads back then and she was definitely that. I also adored the interesting family background you gave her. So often, characters fall into the stereotypical white, black, etc and she brilliantly avoided those.

I also firmly owe you thanks for igniting my interest in Shakespeare. I remember that I saw "City of Stone" when we were having to pick plays and such to read/analyze for school and after seeing that awesome four parter, I went right to my English teacher and asked if I could read MacBeth. It is still my favorite of the Bard's works.

The characterization of Demona was incredible. Most villains are so one dimensional but all the villains of Gargoyles were so well fleshed out. I am a creative writer myself and working on my first work to aim towards publication and I definitely count Gargoyles among my top inspiration for how to do characterization. To this day, I will tell people if they want to see a well fleshed out villain, go watch Demona from Gargoyles. I honestly would rank her about equal to Gollum from "Lord of the Rings." She can be diabolical, sneaky, cruel and yet you can totally see why she would have turned out that way and I can switch very easily from feeling such anger at her to feeling overwhelming pity. Bravo, my good Sir!

First of all, thank you, Brandon and the rest for making Young Justice. You guys have been the reason why I've started collecting DC titles instead of being a casual follower. Even Timm's DCAU couldn't do that.

You must probably have heard about the 'cancellation' of Beware the Batman. While it may have been too offbeat with awkward CGI, it was still a good show. And more importantly, a BATMAN show. Can't believe the state of DC tv animation is right now.

Is it possible for you or someone you know to talk to the DC guys so that they can create a DC nation channel, instead of being left to the whims of CN and toy sales?

I loved how you were able to create such a detailed universe in such a short time. Now that the New 52 is upon us and probably can be expected to last for the next decade or so, before the next 'Crisis', you guys need to pitch a new DCAU!

I'm fully confident that you can be a great showrunner (or overlord, if you prefer that term) to such a combined show universe. Timm did an excellent job but he barely made a scratch on DC's potentially huge cast.

One of my main grouses with YJ Season 2 is that we didn't see the team's growth during the 5 year period. Dick going from Robin to Nightwing, Connor-Megan's rift, Aqualad's 'betrayal' and the departure of Kid Flash and Artemis - all would have been better served if Season 2 was a Season 5 thing. You guys deserved to tell the entire story.

So, my question is: could you guys handle it? Would you be able to create an entire 'DC universe' (I know you can, but hearing it would feel great!) and if DC becomes sane again, would you do it after what they and CN did to YJ?

Hearing your book Rain of the Ghosts is doing really well, so kudos!
