Hi Greg, first I'd like to say that you are doing a FANTASTIC job with young justice, and I don't say that about every show. But I would like to ask a few questions just clear up my confusion if you don't mind.
1. In young justice, is Hawkwoman the same as hawkgirl? I know that in young justice she's supposed to be hawkwoman, and so if they aren't the same, is it possible that hawkgirl could be a side-kick of hawkwoman? (sorry if it's a spoiler request)
2. When I first saw the Justice League movie, the one where all of the super heroes come together for the first time, Matian Manhunter and stated that he was the last of his kind and he came to Earth to warn everyone about the invaders, who killed his people, that they were coming for Earth. So how is it possible that Miss Martian could be alive, and her sisters that she said she has in episode 6, when the Martian race had been whipped out? (except for Martian Manhunter of course)
3. When you add team members to the team, is it possible for you to be able to make your own character, or does it have to be one that already exists in DC Universe?
4. How come Black Canary doesn't have a side-kick?
Thank you for your time. Sorry if any of these are spoiler alerts.
1. On Earth-16, there is no Hawkgirl. Only Hawkwoman.
2. Totally different continuity. We're not in continuity with any previous movie or series or comic book - EXCEPT our companion comic book.
3. Anything's possible.
4. Not everyone does.
1.In âDrop Zoneâ, how and when did Miss Martian plant a bomb in Sportsmasterâs helicopter? Was it actually Robin?
2.In âDenialâ, the witch boy claimed that Wally had zero affinity for Magic. How was his body compatible with The Helmet, then? Can you please elaborate on this?
3.In âTargetsâ, Cheshire was arrested and locked up. She then escaped, forcing Red Arrow to pursue. During this pursuit, Cheshire was seen using weapons. Shouldnât the police check her person for any weapons before locking her up?
4.Is Superman the only league member who knows Batmanâs secret identity?
5.In âSchooledâ, why is Superboy wearing a helmet while riding his motorcycle? I thought he was indestructible.
1. No. Miss Martian did it, while Superboy initially had Sportsmaster's attention.
2. Don't take Klarion, of all "people", too literally.
3. These were provided by Sportsmaster, post-escape.
4. No.
5. He was undercover. And there are helmet laws.

I know I'm probably forgetting some folks, and I REALLY apologize! If you send me a reminder, I'll pimp you in another post!
1: Will we see teenaged villians like Sungirl, Inertia, or Joker's Daughter?
2: How many people are joing "The Team"?
3: Will Kid Flash ever get a girlfriend?
1. NO COMMENT on the specifics, but we have already seen many teenage villains.
2. NO COMMENT.
3. NO COMMENT.
hi greg so the new episode of young justice was on the 16th of september right? so i dont live in america and i dont know if it was episode 11 or not. i was wondering if you knew. i love the show i have been watching it for like only a week and i am hooked. (get most of the episode on youtube XD. big Robin fan) if you do know could you help me out here? thanks Kric
The episode SET on September 16th was the eleventh episode, if that's what you're asking. If you're asking me about an episode that AIRED on September 16th in your country, I have no way of knowing...
Do you have an estimate as to when Mecha-Nation issue 2 will come out?
It's done, but there was a decision not to release issue 2 until issue 3 was done and we could be 100% confident that there would be no more delays between issues.
First of all, thank you for making such an entertaining show in the form of Young Justice. I, for one, canât wait for the new episodes.
Iâd also like to thank you for your interpretation of Batman and Robin (theyâre very Golden Age but modernized). I like that Dick is a cheerful little dude with an attitude, and that Batman isnât a jerk to him (a much committed sin of comic writers ever since the Nineties so this really feels like a breath of fresh air).
So hereâs my question (I checked the FAQ and Ask Greg with search so I hope I havenât missed anything): In the DCU Dick Grayson has Romani heritage (his father is Romani). I understand that this is a later expansion on Dickâs circus past and only showed up in full force in later issues of the Nightwing comic, but I was wondering whether YJ!Dick also has Romani heritage. Iâve always been fond of the idea of a iconic character like Robin being partly Romani.
I hope this isnât a spoiler request! I wouldnât have asked this but you seemed to have no problem with revealing the information that Artemis Crock is half Vietnamese, so I gave it a try.
Also, I wonder how old Oliver Queen is in Young Justice. Usually he's one of the older Justice League members so I was curious about your interpretation.
Thanks so much and keep up the good work!
NO COMMENT on Dick's backstory for now.
Oliver Queen is 32.
Are there plans for Young Justice to be released on Blu-ray? Is this even a possibility or just wishful thinking on my part?
I have no idea. I don't even really know what Blue-Ray is? Is he DC or Marvel?
Hey!First off i wanna say that Young Justice is amazing and your all doing a great job.But i have some questions:
1.Is Artemis ambidextrous? It was shown that she can use her bow with her left and right hand.If yes,is she naturally ambidextrous or is there a reason?
2.Is there a reason that Artemis was chosen to be Vietnamese? If there is a reason and it is not a spoiler request, what is the reason?
3.When "worlds finest" asked you why the fans should buy Young Justice #7 you said that Artemis's secrets will be revealed in YJ #7 "AND ONLY IN YOUNG JUSTICE #7!!" so won't they be revealed on the show?
4. How long was Speedy working with Green Arrow before he quit?
1. Uh, sure. Probably trained to be able to use either hand.
2. Her mother is Vietnamese. She and her sister are half-Vietnamese.
3. Everything you NEED to know to enjoy the television series is in the television series. Everything you NEED to know to enjoy the comic book series is in the comic book series. But there's no doubt you'll enjoy BOTH more if you follow both.
4. Three years.
1.Why does Miss Martian live in the cave?
2.How long has Artemis been a superhero?
3.Is Red Arrow going to be a recurring character?
1. Where else would you have her live?
2. Not long. See issues 7 & 8 of the comic if you want the timestamp.
3. Uh, yeah.
1.Are we going to find out why Superboy couldn't fly?
2.Is Superboy vulnerable to Kryptonite?
3.Are we going to see Doomsday in Young Justice?
4.Is Superboy going to have a birthday?
1. NO COMMENT.
2. ASKED AND ANSWERED WITH NO COMMENT.
3. NO COMMENT.
4. NO COMMENT.
PLEASE tell me by the grace of GOD that you some how got Mark Hamill. I know Vietti worked DiMaggio and he did a good job but No One is close to Mark. But no i'm kidding. But can you tell me who the man behind the Joker's smile this time around. Oh and I can't wait for this friday's new episode. A entire prison full of villians has to call for cameos.
Brent Spiner. And we're thrilled with the work he did.
Does it strike you as mildly misleading that Cartoon Network advertised the US premiere of Targets as the Young Justice "season premiere"?
I don't know. It's all above my paygrade.
Has superman fought bizzaro yet?
Does the Slab or Iron Heights exist on Earth 16?
GUYS, REMEMBER? NO SPOILERS!!
1. How come none of the cheerleaders were concerned that superboy took a nasty fall?
2. Is the Brick still alive?
3. Why did Miss Martian assumed that Mister Twister was a machince just because she couldn't read his mind?
4. Why didn't Red Arrow just destroy the machine when he was rescusing the doctor?
5. How did Alan Scott got his power ring?
6. Why did ya'll get rid of the speed force for earth 16?
7. Does the Phantom Zone exist on Earth 16?
8. If there is no speed force then how come the flashes clothes are still on when they run?
9. Who was the leader of the justice society?
1. It's comedy. Don't over think it.
2. Yes.
3. It was the nature of the lack of contact.
4. Didn't know the significance of it.
5. NO COMMENT.
6. We didn't get rid of it. It was never there.
7. NO COMMENT.
8. How come yours are?
9. It rotated.
I understand if this is a spoiler but, could you tell me if we will say more batman villians besides Joker, Poison Ivy, and Ra's al Ghul?
And Riddler and Clayface and Mister Freeze and...
Really quick 1. Does Spectre exist? 2. If so who is the host? 3. Does the Presence exist as all well? Does his "Brothers" exist too(Eclipso and the other one I forgot)? 4. Was he a member of this universe's JSA? 5. Did he fight the entities(Parralax, The Butcher, etc)
NO COMMENT ON ALL OF THE ABOVE.
Love the show! Loved the short preview last night. Can't wait to see the Joker and Poison Ivy. Just have some Questions:
1) There is a rummer that Captain Marvel will be in episode 13. Also that the team and him will be going to India is that true?
2) Is Superdog and Ace the Batdog going to appear in the first or second season?
3) In the preview was that group of villains the one who will invade the mountain in episode 12 "Home Front"?
1. Yes.
2. NO COMMENT.
3. Nope.
I really love the show. I just have 4 questions That Have been bugging me.
1.Do you know who leaked Targets? Did someone do it on purpose or accident?
2.And has any member of the justice league member been a hero for less time then Robin?
3.Did Bruce Wayne adopt Dick Grayson or does he just live there?
4.Does Robin call Batman Bruce or dad when at home?
1. Accident. Miscommunication between divisions of Cartoon Network.
2. NO COMMENT.
3. Adopt.
4. Bruce.
1. Can superboy be affected by kryptonite?
2. Does Mr. Fox or Leslie Thompkins exist on Earth 16?
3. What doess the Bat Mobile look like?
4. How was the Justice Society different from the Justice League?
5. Did Clark Kent had any adventures growing up in smallville like in the tv show of the same name? For example did he have to fight people whose powers came from krpytonite or deal with a secret society named veritas?
6. Did Jimmy Olsen ever had superpowers on Earth 16?
7. Will ya'll ever tell the story how John became a Green Lantern and why did the ring choose him instead of Guy?
8. Who is the most powerful being on Earth 16 not counting gods?
9. How did the Justice Society get together in the first place?
10. Who were the first super powered good guy and bad guy to appear in public and when did they appear in public?
1. NO COMMENT.
2. See issue #12 of the comic.

I know I'm probably forgetting some folks, and I REALLY apologize! If you send me a reminder, I'll pimp you in another post!
One time you said that the Renaissance Hunter's name was Blank Canmore. Was what a joke? If so, can you give us his name?
It was a joke. His name is Stuart Canmore.
Now I'd like to make a few compliments:
1) Concerning YJ: Thank you for not making one of those superhero shows in which the heroes always find the time to slip into their uniforms amidst an attack. So, thanks for the episodes where the Team is in civvies during all the episode.
2) Concerning The Spectacular Spider-Man: Thank you for not making one of those superheroes shows in which the villains pop up out of nowhere and their origin story is explained via a 20 seconds flashback. So, thanks for working their origin into the organic flow of the plot.
3) Concerning The Spectacular Spider-Man, YJ and Gargoyles: Thank you for not making one of those superheroes shows with cheesy dialog and dumbed down lexicon typical of "kiddies cartoons". So, thanks for making animated shows that audiences out of the key demographics can enjoy.
4) Concerning The Spectacular Spider-Man, YJ and Gargoyles: Thank you for making shows with complex and tightly woven plots, instead of a pile of stand alone episodes, making stuff up as you go along. So, thanks for putting an effort into writing plots with a beginning, a middle and an ending... and sometimes another ending (I'm still awed with what you did with the Green Goblin arc).
Thank you very much.
1. You're welcome!
2. You're very welcome!!
3. You're extremely welcome!!!
4. You are very extremely welcome!!!!
I interrupt this line of questioning and spoiler requesting for a moment of unabashed fangirling:
I just want to take a moment to say how much I appreciate the way you and your team handle storytelling on Young Justice (really all of your shows, but especially this one). It's obvious to me that to endeavor to tell interesting stories that are also true to reality (as well as any superhero show could, anyway). I just saw episode 10 for the second time (I saw it weeks ago when CN posted it to their site by mistake), and I was struck by how the two story lines of the peace conference in Taipei and Megan and Connor going to school worked out logistically. I'm living in Taiwan right now and I used to live in New York, so I know that time-wise Taiwan and EST time zones are 12 hours apart, so both stories are happening at the same time on different parts of the globe, making that news report Connor and Megan saw in class (loved you as the teacher, I grinned when I recognized your voice--was it your idea, or were you volunteered for the part?) sync up perfectly.
I get so tired of watching films or television shows and reading novels or stories where minimal to zero effort went into fact checking those tiny details when they're really just a question of effort and planning. There are probably more important things to a story, but craftsmanship is in the details and I'm glad that I'm getting that from you on this awesome show.
Some things I liked from the episode:
Mercy's arm - I actually shouted out 'HOLY CRAP MERCY'S ARM WHAT' and my roommate went 'They made her a cyborg! That's so HOT'
Lex Luthor - I always liked that aside from his consuming grudge against Superman, Luthor is sophisticated and immoral but also interesting in his own right. I'm glad that's the version we seem to be getting so far. He's no David Xanatos but I hope he shows up a lot more.
Megan's disguise - her freckles disappeared after she got drenched in water! She was probably just shaken and it slipped her mind. (It couldn't have been an animation mistake--those never happen! :P) She should be more careful, someone might notice.
Also, what icon was that on Marvin's shirt? I didn't recognize what superhero it was from.
Because of our timestamps, I'm FORCED to do WAY more math than I'm comfortable with. But I agree that those details are important, so I do it.
As for Marvin, that "M" is for Marvin. It's his own icon, loosely based on Superman's.
