So let's say Gargoyles is brought into live action. What does them changing into stone look like? Is it like a magical fading effect or would it look like a bodily reaction that produces stone around them? I know it's a weird question I just think about these things.
I assume it would look like a biological transformation.
I'd like to say my six year old daughter loves Gargoyles. We have the complete TV series minus the Goliath Chronicals, which I refuse to even touch. That said I do have a few questions for you.
1: How are you doing?
2: Any sign on the horizon of a possibility of a Gargoyles comeback either as a comic or graphic novel?
3: Rumor has it Disney is planning on a live action Gargoyles in the future, do you know anything about it? I think it mentioned someone from GI Joe Rise of Cobra supposedly writing it.
1. Can't complain. (I mean I do complain all the time, but I really shouldn't.) I'm good.
2. Always signs. Nothing real yet. But #KeepBingingGargoyles on Disney+ and who knows?
3. I know a lot about it. And what I know is that nothing is in the works right now.
What are your thoughts on Jordan Peele wanting to do a live-action Gargoyles movie?
I love the idea. He and I exchanged a couple of VERY BRIEF messages about it. But to be clear, it isn't - to my knowledge - happening.
Hello Greg!
Have you seen Disney's 2017 live-action Beauty & the Beast film? If so, what did you think of Dan Stevens' performance capture work in the role of the Beast? Do you think that kind of performance/mo-cap work could be utilized in depicting Goliath and his clan if Disney were to ever make a live-action film of Gargoyles?
1. Yes.
2. I thought he was pretty good.
3. Yes, I think Keith David could create a mo-cap Goliath for live-action that would absolutely kick ass. ABSOLUTELY. KICK. ASS.
If you haven't seen it there was a spoof trailer made as to what could go wrong if the wrong people made a Gargoyles movie;
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fx0XYQQGhE8
Thought you might like too see it, assuming no one else has linked you already.
Anyway, keep up the good work, and look forward to all future projects!
Yeah, I'd seen it. Probably not quite as funny for me as for some folks. But thanks.
Hi Greg, I'm brand new here. I read the guidelines and I have a suspicion that this question might get deleted, but a member of s8 posted a comment on my video on YouTube that I should share my Gargoyles Official 2014 Trailer with you. I was a huge fan of the show as a kid and made a fan trailer for people to remember and honor your amazing show. This is not a question, but more so just wanted to share my video with you and thank you for your creativity that has inspired me for many many years.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4yM158anKbo
Thank you for your time and enjoy.
Richard
I'd seen this. Someone posted it on twitter. It's very cool. It's a little odd for me seeing Ms. Kreuk and Mr. Neeson as Elisa and Xanatos, but it works well in the trailer. Thanks for sharing!
Hello,
Also i would like to ask one thing: if you were allowed to pledge for a kickstarter for the gargoyles 3d movie, would you have the orginal voice actors reprising their roles? I love keith david's voice as well as David Warner who played the archmage and jonathan frakes as xanatos.
p.s do you keep in contact with the gargoyles crews and voice actors and other actors you worked with on other shows?
1. Kickstarter aside, if I had another chance to do Gargoyles, I would of course go back to the original cast whenever possible.
2. I'm in contact with many people from the Gargoyles cast and crew. Thom Adcox, for example, is one of my best friends. Same for other series, as well.
I was heard that the new Gargoyles movie was going to be in 2013 by Disney, but it is now 2013 and I do not see or hear any news about the new project. Is it true that there's going to be a new movie?
I have no idea, really. Disney announced a few years ago that they were making a GARGOYLES movie called "Gargoyles" but NOT based on the television show. (Though much of what I read about it seemed to be lifted right out of the show.)
Nothing happened after that. Then they changed writer and announced again. But that was a couple years ago now too.
Checked earlier this summer, and they still seem to be working on this non-Gargoyles Gargoyles movie, but no details. I don't even know if they have a script they like.
Is it true that they are making a Gargoyles movie, only that it's not going to be about the series at all?
I haven't heard anything about it recently, but that was their plan a couple years ago.
Hi Greg,
Is it possible that you have any plans/would be interested in making some to carry on the Gargoyles franchise by making a movie in the future. I would really like to see a live action movie of Gargoyles. In 3D and with current technology, it would be beautiful and I think it would be a great idea. It would also introduce post-gargoyle kids to the gargoyle world. I was a kid when the TV series was being aired and I am still an avid fan.
Thanks
Rory

Hello Mr. Weisman, it is me again Brian Bartoccini from Italy, how are you? I've recently heard some little new about that movie about the new gargoyles, it will call "Stone".
What do you think about that Disney' s idea, do a gargoyles movie, but not our gargoyles?
In my opinion is very terrible; Disney has already a good tv series (our Gargoyles) where they can take some base to do a good movie about gargoyles.
Besides if will be a real (and good) gargoyles movie, there will be hope that a lot of people can be interest to our gargoyles. They buy more DVDs and comic books, so a reason to release other DVDs and comic books and then release them in other countries (that I really hope).
But that (for now) it isn't happen; if you go on youtube you can see that a lot of fan from Italy, some spanish country, French, Germany, Brasil, etc. etc., are taking the episodes on youtube.
You know something? I really hope that movie "stone" will be very, very, very, very unsuccesful; and so then, maybe Disney will decide to do a REAL GARGOYLES MOVIE.
Well, I hope you understand my bad english. Good Bye.
I'm not sure if your information is accurate, but if in fact they've renamed the movie "Stone" then I'm thrilled. As long as our "Gargoyles" keeps control of that name, we're in decent shape.
Unfortunately, I've seen no indication anywhere of a title change on the new movie. Where did you get your intel?
I've been a fan for many years! Kudos on the show, it's wonderful. I must also admit that even though I love the show I hate having to wake up at 4:00 am to watch it.
As to my inquiry...
I understand that you are no longer with Disney; however, I wondered if you had any more recent information than I've been able to find on:
1.) the release of the remaining episodes to dvd and
2.)what happened to the plan for the live action version that was in the works.
If you are unable to help me, could you please direct me (if possible) to the Disney website, persons name, or specific company I need to begin a letter writing campaign to (waking up at 4:00 am is killing me, but it's on!! LOL!!)
I hope the show is returned to you in the near future. It was amazing and I believe deserves another chance, particularly with the rise in interest in the supernatural television shows. Good luck to you with this and all your other projects and thanks for your time.
I have no new information to report, I'm afraid. And no contacts for you either, I'm afraid. Maybe some of the fans do, however. You can ask at the Station 8 comment room, for example.
dear greg
i grew up with gargoyles, infact, it helped me grow... when i was 9 i was shy and by coping brooklyns personality i grow in to a crazy person and i wanted to thank you... because with out gargoyles i would have never learned to draw and be an arist and now i am the top artist at my school.
and now my questiom: as you my know (and im sure this has been asked) lots of old shows have been remade in to these big epic moves (transformers for example) and i was wondering if there was anychance for a live action gargoyles movie? i know hundreds of people who would be so happy! so is there any chance??
It's a confusing question right now, Amanda. Please check the ASK GREG Archives under "Live-Action Movie" to learn more.
Hello Greg,
1st I'd like to say thanks for making the best show of my young life and 2nd I'd like to ask you if You R aware that Disney is planing on making a Live Action Gargoyles movie? When I first heard of this I thought I was going to be the Gargoyles you created but instead its going to be a movie that doesn't follow your storyline at all. It's still going to be of Gargoyles set in modern time and turning to stone and even have some history in it. BUT when I found out it wasn't your Gargoyles I could honestly say that I was heart broken along with a lot of my friends. Many of us are outraged that Disney would do this because we know that it will just ruin things to have a REAL Gargoyles movie made with your ideas. I even considerd writing to the produser and asking them not to make the movie unless you worked with them with your story line because I alway felt that Gargoyles would make a great movie. But only if it's the Gargoyles that we know and love. Well anyways sory about my rant and I you ever do make a Gargoyles movie of the greates 90's cartoon, you can bet that I'll be one of the first in line to see it along with the rest of my friends.
Thanks.
Hey from England!
I heard about the Gargoyles film that Disney is making, yet not having anything to do with your series! I was outraged when I heard, and have already sent two letters to Donner and Brickhouse, asking that they reconsider. I know a lot of other fans are doing so, too.
Is Disney able to do this?...taking the idea from your series and messing around with it and such? I know Disney owns the rights, but you were the one who came up with the idea, wrote the series and everything! Shouldn't they have at least consulted with you about it? It's a disgrace that they should mess around with a great idea!
According to the articles, this new movie has nothing to do with the series.
In mid-July, Variety wrote an article about Disney developing a new movie about gargoyles coming to life. http://www.variety.com/article/VR1118021704.html?categoryid=13&cs=1 Variety was clear that this movie is unrelated to the Gargoyles TV series or comic.
The Hollywood Reporter followed up with this line: "The project seeks to build a mythology around the carvings, originally designed in medieval times to act as spouts but later took on roles as powerful symbols to ward off or attract evil. The story is being developed, but it is known to be set in modern times." http://heatvision.hollywoodreporter.com/2010/07/disney-developing-gargoyles-project.html
Fans are understandably freaking out.
1. Were you aware of this project before the Variety article and has Disney contacted you about it?
2. Do you share fan fears that this project could replace the Gargoyles property in Disney's mind and hamper the chance of future Gargoyles stories being told?
3. How do you feel about the 'Make a REAL "Gargoyles" movie, Disney!' Facebook page effort? http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=142182852459700&v=wall
4. How many people have asked you about this already? ;)
1. No.
2. It's... concerning.
3. It's really not wise of me to comment.
4. <sigh> A LOT!
After having seen James Cameron's film "Avatar", I feel quite confident in my belief that special effects have reached a level where a live-action adaptation of "Gargoyles" could become a reality. Obviously, there are no plans for a film since Disney has no intention of selling the rights or expanding upon the property. So, my question is hypothetical, which I apologize for...
If a film of "Gargoyles" was to be made and you were involved, who would you be interested in writing and directing it?
Writing it, for sure. I'm not qualified to direct it.
I know Disney owns the rights, My Question is -
Do you know of any developments with these charaters for another series or Movie?
I ended up watching the Show as re-runs on Disney Channel & fell in Love. I'd love to see these characters in something new!
Thanks for your Time.
Ken Deemer - A Fan of the Show
No, not at this time. For a more expansive answer, please check the archives.
Are there currently any plans of making a live action adaptation of The Gargoyles? Has Greg ever considered taking the Gargoyles show in that direction? In his personal opinion what actors does he think would be good matches for Eliza and David Xanotos?
Please see the archives. It's all there.
With the popularity of the X-Men, The Punisher, Harry Potter, and all of the Star Trek movies - has anyone suggested a live-action Gargoyles movie? It could have the potential to be a wonderful reunion of past Star Trek stars.
Please check the ASK GREG archives before posting.
i am the one who is writing a book and i was think why not turn gargoyles into a feature film, with narnia, harry potter, Twilight and many others making it big? I would definitly go to the theatres ten times to see that as a franchise. That dramatic series is perfect to see as a film. I think that if disney doesn't pick it up, when my book is done i will be pitching it as a movie idea. Sorry but your idea of gargoyles is too goo to be left alone. It is just to perfect.
Am I supposed to be enthusiastic about you writing a gargoyles book and then turning it into a movie? Cuz... I'm not.
Anyway, you can check the ASK GREG archives under "Live-Action Movie" and find out all there is to know about the status of the Live-Action film.
As a long-time fan of Gargoyles, I've often wondered why Disney seems to have left the property in the "scrap heap" as it were. It is truly the only half-hour Disney animated series that has been close to serious or has addressed real themes. In the late 90's, when the idea was being tossed around for a movie, I can almost understand why Disney wouldn't have wanted to pursue it. At that point, Disney had never even approached the idea of doing a PG-13 film (as a Gargoyles film would almost have to be PG-13). Plus, the effects may not have been up to par to do the clan justice.
Now, however, after the success of the Pirates franchise, I can't imagine why Disney wouldn't want to pursue this concept in film form. They've proven they can handle a PG-13 film. Also, through the effects used to bring Davy Jones to life, they've proven that bringing Goliath and co. to life would not be that difficult. In this day and age, there doesn't seem to be any good reason why Disney wouldn't want to bring Gargoyles to the big screen.
Ultimately, my question is: Has anyone at Disney given you anything close to an explanation as to why they aren't pushing the property further?
Not really, but I think the answers are fairly obvious.
First, the NOSTALGIA PERISCOPE is still firmly fixed on the 1980s, with cartoons like Transformers and G.I. Joe becoming big movies. Give us eight to ten years and the periscope will have moved on to the 90s. Maybe then...
Second, if we're being honest, the property never did BLOCKBUSTER business. So there's no huge incentive to trot it out early, i.e. ahead of the periscope.
Dear Greg,
I think you did an amazing job on Gargoyles. It really was a great show/movie. As you instructed, I read through the answered questions and I couldn't find the question I am about to ask you.
1. I know that we don't know about any Gargoyle movie coming out anytime soon, but if there are so many fans that really do like it and would like to see it come alive, how would we go about that?
2. I know Disney owns the rights to Gargoyles, but if there was a movie to come out with live action, would you be able to pick the people to play the characters? I hope so since you are the visionary.
I hope that you can answer these questions. I know you are busy just like the rest of the world is and I thank you for taking time out of your day to answer these questions. Have a great day!
Cherie L. R. M.
1. Buy Gargoyles product. Tell Disney.
2. I doubt it would be up to me. But if they gave me that power, I wouldn't turn it down.
I've read before that Disney rejected the idea of producing a live-action movie of 'Gargoyles' back in 1996. Exactly elements do you believe in the animated series could not possibly merge into live action?
Huh? I don't understand the question. But in any case you have your facts wrong. Disney pursued a live action Gargoyles from 1994 'til about 1999 give or take. Then they shelved the project.
This is a question kind of about a Gargoyles movie but not really. I read that back in the 90s one of the reasons a live-action Gargoyles movie wasn't made was because a good script couldn't be found. Not sure if this is true or not but it leads to my question.
Why is it, Gargoyles or otherwise, movie companies contact outside screenwriters to develope a script instead of the creator, if the creator is available for contact (Not dead or no longer working on the project)?
I assume they think that the creator can't create something that would work for a wide audience because they'd be TOO faithful to their creation. I'm sure in some cases that might be true. But there's also a basic assumption that movie writers are inherently superior to television (and certainly cartoon) writers.
Curious if there is any recent(within the past year or 2) updates to the 'gargoyles' is there any plans going underway, A live action or even computer animated movie (beowulf style)perhaps? Geting enough from the first and second season to consider releaseing the second part of season 2 or 3, or a new gargoyles tv series?
Thing is, i've seen rumors droped here and there, but most anything ive seen is at least 3-4 years old, so i've been dieing to know.
Ps: I was browseing through some other questions, one with someone askin if there was a washroom in the clocktower, never thought of it meself, always jus assumed they went well in flight :D
Check the archives here. Plenty of recent answers, and in any case, I'd post any updates I had. I'm not keeping things from people.
Did you ever thought to approuch people like Jerry Bruckheimer about Gargoyles live action movie?.He seems to be always interested in orginal ideas that Disney put into development like Pirates of the Caribbean and the Prince of Persia so I think maybe he will be able to persuade Touchstone to make The Gargoyles movie.
Did you gave any thoughts how the Gargoyles in live action would look like.I mean in 2D animation they look fine but with CGI technology
there will be many elements that will have to look realistic and therefore affect the original design of the characters.
P.S Sorry about some mistakes in English.
I've thought a lot about the look of the thing...
But AGAIN, this isn't my property to pitch -- to anyone BUT Disney.
I know that this question was posted already but I wish to know if did anything change about making the real-life movie of Gargoyles?
And If answer is no, what could fans do about it. There is something we can do or not?
AGAIN - if there was ANY news, you can be sure I'd TELL the fans. Instead of asking, go to the Live-Action Movie Archive here at ASK GREG and check the latest post.
And I can't think of anything the fans can do, beyond what I've said over and over. SPREAD THE WORD!
Hello,
I heard about a Gargoyles live action movie, being made years ago. Is it safe to say its not happening? If so, I'm glad. I can just picture them making signifcant changes, (I can see a bald Goliath and a weird looking Hudson)
It's not currently in the works. But I'm not glad. I wish they'd do it.
Dear Mr. Weisman i dont really have a question but for the last 2 years i have been working on a gargoyle movie based on your tv show i am finished with it and i would like to talk with you about doing a movie i am a big fan like every one else and i want to make this movie a reality and i think with your help we can give the fans a true movie that will live with everyone please respond to this sir i just see movies like transformers and they make a lot of money and i think its time to start a movie please sir i will do whatever it takes to gain your trust on this please email me at mcjam1803@hotmail.com i can send you a copy of the script so you can read it first well thank you for your time sir have a good day.
Justin, I admire your dedication, but I can't read your script for a number of reasons:
1. I have my own ideas, so I don't read fan-versions of the characters to protect myself legally.
2. There's really no point in MY reading it. I don't control the property; Disney does. I've had numerous discussions over the years with Touchstone (i.e. Disney) features executives, trying to convince them to do a live action movie. There was a period where they actively pursued development of the script, going through at least ten writers (including myself and Michael Reaves), but right now they don't seem too interested. I haven't given up, but reading your script -- no matter how good it was -- could hardly make me more passionate about the property or give me any more ability to convince the powers that be.
3. You're, of course, welcome to try to convince Disney to read your script. But in that case, you're in essence putting yourself in competition with me. A situation, which as you can imagine, I'd be less than thrilled about.
I know you been asked this before but dose disney have a say so or the rights in weather a film could be made out of this spectaculer series
Are we talking about Spider-Man or Gargoyles?
Gargoyles - Of course.
Spectacular Spider-Man - None at all.
Dear heavens that's a lot of red tape just to ask a question. Well, I'm sure my question has been asked many times before, and please forgive me if you find it to be an annoyance (I'm sure I'll politely be escorted to the 'archives' for this one), but I just wanted to know if the creators foresee a film coming out in the near future. I was so very proud of this cartoon. It is quite nostalgic for my younger brother and me. I'd be overjoyed to support this brilliant cartoon on the big screen.
Thanks,
Jackie (Gargoyles fan since I was a youngster!)
You know, Jackie, I've got no sympathy for you here. You seem perfectly aware of the archives -- perfectly aware that you're asking a question that's been asked before. And yet...
I mean you complain about the red tape and then contribute to the reason we HAVE red tape in the first place.
So, yeah, consider yourself escorted...
(sigh)
Let me just say that I am a huge fan of the show. I have both DVD sets and watch them all the time. It's just a shame that the rest of Season 2 didn't get released on DVD.
But I do have a question. If you ever got the chance to work on a Gargoyles live action film... how do you see the film being made? To me, it has tremendous potential as an exciting epic of a live action movie.
And with the success of recent films like Lord of the Rings and Transformers and other sci-fi/fantasy of films, I think Gargoyles would do just as well in that market. Since Disney has been itching for franchises lately, then they got a great one sitting right under their noses.
I'm not sure what the actual question here is? I'd of course love to participate in the making of a live action movie, epic enough, almost by definition. There currently doesn't seem to be much interest on Disney's part.
Hallo and merry X-mas Mr. Weisman,
a few days ago I visited a page where I was able to watch "Gargoyles". It wasn´t the first time I watched this series, in fact i was and i still am a big fan of "Gargoyles". After watching the first 13 episodes, i ask myself the question, if it is posible to make a movie like "Spiderman" or " Transformers" about these first episodes. These films look (more or less) real, so it must be posible to make the "Gargoyles" become real to. I hope you will understand, what i tried to say.
Well i am from Germany and my english is not the best, but i hope i get an answer.
Thanks for reading
Lou, you're English is fine, but I'm going to refer you to the ASK GREG Archives, specifically the Live-Action Movie section, so that I don't have to answer a question I've answered many times in the past.
Greg,
I am currently re watching all the Gargoyles shows, I grew up watching this show and it is right along the lines of Transformers and G.I.Joe. Considering the story line of the show and what other comic books and cartoons are doing, making this a live action movie would be awesome. With the way movie techology is you could totally pull this off, and it could possibly run a series like Harry Potter movies. So what would the chances of this actally happening?
Please see the LIVE-ACTION MOVIE archive here at Ask Greg.
Hi Greg. With the success of the Transformers movie and the CGI that went with it, if you got an offer to do a Gargoyles movie with the gargoyles being CGI, would you do it? If you did, I would assume that you would want to use the original voice actors for the gargoyles, but what about the humans in the series? Would you use the original actors or bring in new people? Who would you have play the various roles like Elisa, Xanatos, Fox, and Owen?
Of course, I'd be interested. If for no other reason then it would guarantee the release of the rest of the episodes.
As to casting, I'd love to cast Salli, Jonathan and Jeff as their respective characters. As much as I love Laura, though, I'm afraid she doesn't really look anything like Fox. Don't have anyone in mind... because Laura's so vocally wonderful in the part. But the truth is, casting of the humans would depend quite a bit on financing issues. So this hypothetical is really just that.
Getting caught up on all of the old episodes, I'm even more shocked now then I was when the show originally went off the air that no one has been able to make a feature film out of this property. All of the elements are there for success (especially after seeing the success of Transformers, an admittingly less compelling cartoon property). If someone were to write a superb script, would you push for a Gargoyles movie? Especially now that Disney has seen it can have success with a PG-13 franchise (Pirates)?
I'd love to see this movie made. Frankly, I'd love to be the one who made it -- or at least scripted it.
how dose the gargoyles saga comics, movie, cartoon look for heading about 10 years in to the futer?
dose disney still own the rights to gargoyles?
what would have to happen to get the live action movie going?
if the movie got going would you and all the old cast memders from the tv be involved ,would the gargoyles look more cartoonish or real life?
1. I'm not sure I understand the question.
2. Yes.
3. They'd have to want to make it. Knowing the property is already a big deal would help.
4. Since no movie's currently in the works, there's no way to answer that at this time.
hi i was reading gargoyles #4 for the millionth time and i had the raido on when phill colins "one more night" came on when i was at the part
where elise was braking up with golith is was sad :( so it got me thinking that if there was a sad part in the "movie" if it ever comes out
they should use that sog, just a thought what do you think ?
I'm not gonna get that far ahead of things myself, but you are all welcome to score things in your head however you like!
i think there should be a movie. With real actors in make up portraying real gargoyles
if they can turn ron pearlman into hellboy why not make do the same with gargoyles
I'm all for it.
Dear Greg,
I've read in the FAQ that Touchstone Pictures has been working on a Gargoyles movie, but this is a long time ago. Are they still working on it? Can we expect a masterpiece soon?
Warm regards,

Greg Weisman says:
There are no current plans to make a movie.
hay Greg,i have a qustion about the gargoyles live action movie and it is , did Touch stone pitchers just give up on the gargoyles L A M
or are they "looking at it for the futer"
thank you for your time.
I guess as of now, the answer is the latter. But I have no news to report.
gdw
I love the story of Gargoyles and the plot of each episode the teachings they show, that we most have no matter what like chivalry, faith, hope, generosity, justice, mercy, and nobility. With all this tecnology of today: Why you didn't had made a movie, a great movie of gargoyles? And not only one you can make three or four or five of them, just like the movies of today, like Harry Potter, (I think he will make it till the seventh). For creativity don't stop You got tons of it, you and many writers. Ok. this is it, I be waiting in theaters for the Gargoyles Saga. Thank you for your great productions.
Dan... Dan... As I've said many HUNDREDS OF TIMES in the ASK GREG archives and elsewhere.
IT ISN'T UP TO ME!!!!
I'd love to. But for now, you'll have to settle for the comics.
Hello Greg,
I was wondering have you considered doing a live action movie or television series for the Gargoyle Franchise. And would you consider another person's script.
I have answered this MANY times before.
I'd love to do a movie or tv show, live action or animation -- though it is of course NOT up to me. I would not cold read anyone else's script (to protect myself from lawsuits), and obviously my first choice would be to write it myself.
So, I tried searching for some info on this supposed gargoyles movie, but the site's archive search engine seems to be a bit haywire (my returned searches have off-color spaces in-between every character). I read the first few returns to my query, but I started to get a headache. As a result, I have decided to simply ask my question and hope it makes it through the queue reasonably soon. If it has already been asked (as it very well may have) I sincerely apologize.
My first question is, if this movie ever gets put together, will it be animated or live-action? As a follow-up, if it is live-action, will Disney prevent it from being overly violent and adult-oriented? I think that the bulk of gargoyles fans out there are getting old, and as much as the old episodes and the new comics still make me happy to engage with, I think a more mature, live-action/CGI/Costumed high-budget motion picture would generate a lot of hype, over and above another animated version. I'm not thinking of Goliath ripping muggers in half or anything, just a version where no one is afraid of showing a little pool of blood (a la "deadly force"). I think "Awakening" could be remade fantastically in this manner, as it is an incredibly epic storyline. Thanks for your time.
There are no current plans to make a movie, so answering any questions about it at this point would be beyond hypothetical.
For starters, let me say thank you for introducing the world to Gargoyles; it's an incredable series.
Now for the question; do you think that in the later future you would want to create a live-action film for Gargoyles? In hollywood today, there are many tv shows that are revived to become incredible films; do you believe Gargoyles would be one of them?
I think it would be great. For more info on the history of the Live-Action Gargoyles Movie... CHECK THE ASK GREG ARCHIVES under "LIVE-ACTION MOVIE"!
WHEN (not if because I know this will happen one day do to the popularity of the show) Touchstone Pictures or another company gets to work again on the live action Gargoyles movie, do you think it will be rated past the PG mark do to the violent content of the cartoon series?
I would imagine it would be either PG or PG-13. I wouldn't want an R, myself.
Now an NC-17 I could get into...
I am a big fan of Gargoyles even though I'm sixteen. You have probably been asked this question but do you know if there will be new episodes of Gargoyles in the future even though it's been eight years since the last new Gargoyles episode? Also, do you know if the live-action Gargoyles movie is in production or has Touchstone given up on that?
Greg Weisman says:
As I've answered many times before -- including VERY recently -- the movie has been shelved by Touchstone.
Will there ever be a movie on Gargoyles?
I don't know. Will there?

Thanks for your time in answering these :)

My Girlfriend picked up the bootleg yesterday. The Movie is done and coming out soon. So what is the real deal?
Like I'd lie to you.
I mean if the thing was really happening, I'd be SHOUTING to you guys to SPREAD THE WORD!
Your girlfriend did NOT pick up a bootleg of a live-action GARGOYLES movie based on the animated series I created. Such a thing does NOT exist.
So being charitable, I have to assume that either you or your girlfriend is confused.
