When can we expect updates with Young Justice in terms of release or which platform it will be released on?
EXPECTING things is problematic. Smacks of entitlement. ;)
But you can sign up for updates at www.DCFanUpdates.com.
Meanwhile, this was announced on April 25th:
Warner Bros. Television and DC Entertainment Announce All-New Live-Action Series "Titans," from Executive Producers Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns, Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter, To Debut In 2018
"Young Justice: Outsiders," The Highly Anticipated Third Season Of Warner Bros. Animation's "Young Justice," Also To Bow Next Year
Series Will Air Exclusively on Upcoming DC-Branded Direct-to-Consumer Digital Service
Warner Bros. Television and DC Entertainment today announced that executive producers Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns, Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter are teaming up for the all-new live-action drama series "Titans," which will debut in 2018. Additionally, Warner Bros. Animation's "Young Justice: Outsiders," the highly anticipated third season of the popular "Young Justice" series, is also ramping up for its first mission next year.
Both fan-driven series are in early stages of production and will air exclusively on a DC-branded direct-to-consumer digital service in 2018. Operated by Warner Bros. Digital Networks Group, the new digital service will deliver an immersive experience designed just for DC fans.
"Titans" follows a group of young soon-to-be Super Heroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe. In this action-packed series, Dick Grayson emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes, including Starfire, Raven and many others. "Titans" is a dramatic, live-action adventure series that will explore and celebrate one of the most popular comic book teams ever.
"Titans" will be written by Akiva Goldsman ("Star Trek: Discovery," "Underground"), Geoff Johns (President & Chief Creative Officer, DC Entertainment; "The Flash," "Arrow") and Greg Berlanti ("Arrow," "DC's Legends of Tomorrow," "The Flash," "Supergirl"). Goldsman, Johns, Berlanti and Sarah Schechter ("Arrow," "DC's Legends of Tomorrow," "The Flash," "Supergirl") are executive producers of the series from Weed Road Pictures and Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.
In "Young Justice: Outsiders," the teenage Super Heroes of the DC Universe come of age in an animated world of super-powers, Super-Villains and super secrets. In the highly anticipated new season, the team faces its greatest challenge yet as it takes on meta-human trafficking and the terrifying threat it creates for a society caught in the crossfire of a genetic arms race spanning the globe and the galaxy. Equally praised by critics and viewers for its impressive visuals and rich storytelling, "Young Justice" reached more than 25 million unique viewers in each of its two seasons on Cartoon Network. This passionate fan support set the stage for the new third season.
Sam Register ("Teen Titans Go!," "Justice League Action") is executive producer of "Young Justice." Brandon Vietti ("Batman: Under the Red Hood," "Superman Doomsday") and Greg Weisman ("Star Wars Rebels," "Gargoyles") are producers of the series, produced by Warner Bros. Animation. Emmy Award winner Phil Bourassa ("Young Justice," "Justice League Dark," "Teen Titans: The Judas Contract") serves as the series' art director.

I've been wondering for a while now; do you have full creative freedom over Young Justice season 3 or is there some restrictions and/or lines that you can't explicitly cross?
Yes. And yes.
Hey, I have a few questions about the upcoming new episodes of YJ that occurred to me (logistical, not going to ask you what it's about obviously).
1. How far (if at all) did you guys get into the planning/writing of S3 before production ended? Had you gotten as far as writing scripts/breaking episodes or was it just sort of general ideas?
2. Do you still plan to move forward more or less with what you came up with during the first round of production or have things sort of morphed in the intervening years?
3. You've said before that you would sort of ideally never end a series definitively (given that life rarely has complete closure, that makes sense to me on a creative level). That being said, is there a particular number of YJ seasons you have roughly planned out, if not fully plotted/outlined (Joss Whedon for instance has said that he originally planned 5-7 seasons for Firefly)?
4. If yes, what is that number (if you're willing to reveal)?
1. Just general ideas. We did NOT start season three until November of 2016.
2. Both.
3. We had about five when we started. But we keep coming up with more ideas. So we probably still have about five (over and above what we've already done).
4. See above.
It's not a question but thank u for the work on young justice it's put me through hard times thank u so much I can't wait for season 3
You're very welcome. We're excited for it too.
Hello! When I found out that Young Justice was returning for a third season, I was ECSTATIC. However I am horribly impatient, and I was wondering if you could give an estimated date for when viewers can expect to see the new season. Thanks so much!
I cannot. Not because I'm being coy, but because I honestly don't yet know where or when the new season will be. But we're hard at work on it, I can tell you that, with more and more crewmembers coming aboard almost daily.
Hi Greg! I am such a fan of all your work!!
I just wanted to say that I am glad YJ is back with you and Brandon mostly working the helm and I can't wait to see what you have in store for us :)
(you don't have to answer this but do you thing you'll have an episode where the team just watches celebrity hockey?)
SPOILER ALERT: I'm fairly certain I will not have an episode where all that happens is that the Team watches Celebrity Hockey.
I'm so HAPPY to hear that there are LGBT characters in Young Justice! I hope this doesn't count as a spoilery question but my question is quite simple really... When you said that, did you mean it? What I MEAN by that is... Are there LGBT Characters... As in plural? As in more than ONE?
And thats my question! As a gay male I'm so glad that you are very open minded and really do care about representation. I hope we get to see some same sex relationships in season 3! I played Young Justice in the background all the time on Netflix because I really was holding on to that sliver of hope that it would be renewed and I'm so glad that it worked!
We've established that Marie Logan was either a lesbian or bi-sexual. In my mind, yes, there are other LGBTQ characters in the series, as well. But I am NOT promising anything at all about what will be revealed or seen in Season Three.
So, how is season 3 going? Any teases?
1. Very well.
2. Nope. That's not my thing.
Hello Greg! I hope you are doing well and I want to congratulate you for Young Justice season 3 being commissioned. I cannot wait to see it. Here are my questions:
1. How long was your timeline for Spec Spidey, if you had one? I know you had eventual plans to go into Peter's college years and beyond if you had the chance, so I was curious if you had stories, characters, and events such as deaths, graduations, etc. planned out? I'm not asking what stories you wanted to tell but I am curious if you had a long outline, similar to Garg and YJ.
2. Why did you make MJ and Gwen friends in the series? It was a change I loved and considering where Pete and Gwen end up in the comics and where Pete and MJ end up, I thought it was a brilliant idea.
3. For YJ and Spec, was Jamie Thomasson a comic book fan? I ask because I wonder if him being a possible comic book fan helped him cast parts in the show easier. Did he only rely on your scripts or also on other source material?
Can't wait for YJ season 3 and hoping for Garg comics! And I still hold out hope you can write Spider-Man again in another form! Take care Greg and good luck.
1. I did have one. But I don't remember how long it was, and I don't have access to it here at my Warner Bros office.
2. I didn't come up with it. They were on and off friends in the comics.
3. You'd have to ask him, but I don't recall him being a hardcore geek like me.
Hey Greg!
I just wanted to say thank you for your dedication to the Young Justice characters. They're a part of my family, and I know they're a part of yours.
You brought a 30 year old man to tears on announcing season 3. A 30 year old man who must have streamed YJ seasons on Netflix 20+ times and bought all the comics on the dc app.
Did you ever give up hope on season 3? I have followed you guys online and I know you said that there was hope since the show hit Netflix, but was there ever a temptation to share the stories with the fans, thinking the show would never reach season 3? In my mind, these characters and their untold stories were in you both, and they'd reach us all eventually.
It's a most beautiful comeback story.
Noting what happened with season 2, I truly hope the show is on Netflix. To have the greatest stories these characters have ever told, at the whim of sometimes fickle networks would be a little unnerving. Having said that, I do trust that you've both placed our heroes somewhere their stories will be safe.
Thank you for the heroes, thank you for the stories and thank you for never giving up
1. Hope ebbed and flowed.
2. No temptation to do that. I've learned the hard way that revealing ideas minus their execution is a recipe for disaster. (Or at least mild annoyance.) Certainly, no good comes of it. Besides, there was always the chance it might come back in comic book form.
3 I haven't "placed" the show anywhere. Let's make that clear. I have absolutely ZERO control over where it airs or streams or whatever. ZERO. That's way, way, way above my paygrade. Brandon and I are making the best show we can, but that's where our control ends.
