I have a question about the Reach.
Why exactly do they refer to Humams as "meat"?
Are any of these theories correct?
my own theory:
a) they are insectisoid with exoskeitons, therefore they dont have internal muscles, or "meat" themselves?
possible theory based on Mongul telling Captian Atom (paraphrasing here) "your lucky im killing you now...you dont know what they plan to
do to you":
b) They were going to eat people.
c) Are both of these true?
or d) is it a mistranslation of a word they use in their native language, but has no english equivilent?
Thanks.
Mostly a. Maybe some b, although that wasn't a priority. So maybe some c. And maybe a little d, while we're at it. But mostly a.
1) What became of Despero and Mongal after Savage commandeered the Warworld?
2) Clark Kent is not present at the Daily Planet in Superboy's implanted memory. Why is this?
3) What is the "Serpent", the "Garden", and "Eden" that Ra's refers to in "The Pit..."?
4) Why did Ocean-Master want to rob Queen Mera of her powers?
5) Where was Doctor Fate during "Players"?
1. SPOILER REQUEST. NO COMMENT.
2. He was in the Men's Room.
3. SPOILER REQUEST. NO COMMENT.
4. If you were a villain, wouldn't YOU want her power? And at the very least, wouldn't you want to make sure SHE didn't have them?
5. SPOILER REQUEST. NO COMMENT.
1) What did Superboy mean when he said he could "relate" to the Appellaxian husk wanting to "end its pain"?
2) Why is Blue Beetle's Scarab incompatible with Apokoliptan tech?
3) How did Psimon know about Batman being "out of the picture" during "Beneath"?
4) Why wasn't Impulse's apocalyptic future completely subverted after what he accomplished in the present?
5) Why did Black Manta want to destroy the Earth-Mars communications satellite?
1. I'll leave that to your interpretation.
2. Bad mojo?
3. Because he's working for the Light, which had the inside scoop on what was up on Rimbor.
4. ASKED AND ANSWERED.
5. The Light wanted it destroyed because it didn't want to further Earth/Mars relations, which might complicate their plan.
1) How long had Tseng been replaced with the Krolotean robot seen in "Happy New Year"?
2) Why did Miss Martian hug Beast Boy so enthusiastically in "Earthlings"?
3) How is Icon familiar with intergalactic trial law?
4) How did Black Manta father Kaldur'ahm with Sha'lain'a?
5) How did the Light learn of Rimbor, and why did they choose those specific six Leaguers to rampage there?
1. I don't have access to my timeline here at my Disney office. But I'm not sure I set an exact date for this anyway.
2. She loves him. Plus he's very huggable.
3. He's (a) a lawyer and (b) from outer space.
4. HOW?
5a. SPOILER REQUEST.
5b. Maximum Impact.
so does Dick Grayson still have feelings for Zatanna
Depending on your definition, yes.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CONNER KENT (SUPERBOY)!!!'
This threw me for a second until I remembered it was written back in March. Me - here in November - just finished celebrating Wally's birthday!
What's the story about Ocean Master getting replaced by Black Manta? I'm curious if you had plans for him that were derailed.
No plans were derailed. Not all of our plans were revealed. And I'm not revealing them now either. Sorry.
Good evening sir, I am on here not to ask a question, but because I have some things I want to say. Firstly I would like to apologize. You see I had left two comments on this board asking the same question, why is not important it was still rude of me. Secondly I would like to congratulate you on the ingenious way you and your team ended YJ's second season. I could not have thought of a better ending if I tried, and I know because I did and I failed. Whether this is merely the end of a season or the end of the show it was brilliant.
Thanks a lot!!
Terribly sorry to ask a few more questions Greg...
1. In the Arctic was it an oversight that the Team, particularly Artemis and Nightwing, were not wearing warmer clothes than their regular costumes? Even for a short time it must have been freezing I think, and they were in warmer costumes in the simulated mission in Failsafe.
2. At the beginning of the Season 2 we learned Superboy did not change externally but internally, however we never heard about it again toward the end. Does he still age in this fashion? Was it just mentioned to add some info or is there something else?
3. Does Superboy not like mirrors because it reminded him too much of how he is yet isn't like Superman, and does he use mirrors in Season2 or eventually?
4. Before you answer the oldest posts do you on occasion look at the latest questions of askGreg? I ask because I understand everyone is expressing their love for Wally, or wants to know
about Darkseid, or some other stuff, but they don't follow the
guidlines to not repeat questions. Do you ever plan onn giving a single post to just stop these ongoinv qustion into one?
Thanks
1. There wasn't time to change.
2. Why would it have changed?
3a. Pretty much. Though I don't think he would have articulated it that way.
3b. Don't think he cares much about mirrors one way or another.
4. I don't. I have moderators for a reason, i.e. to protect me legally. It would defeat the purpose if I went ahead and read unmoderated posts.
Did kid flash know that he would die before he went to help flash and impulse stop the reach's doomsday device?
No. Though of course he knew there's always a risk.
Hey greg. Quick questions:
1. Does the rest of the team, especially curious about the other original seven, consider Connor 22 or 16 or 6 by Invasion.
2. What about the league, Batman,Superman?
3. Can Beast Boy shift into people like Miss.M or is he limited to animals.
4. Batman of this universe doesn't particularly approve of Barbaras Batgirling yet does he supply her gadgets and suits like he does for his official protegees?
5. Why doesn't the Ambassador just use the control systems he used on Blue and Green Beetle to control Black or atleast stop his lip. It was shown that he could could control multiple scarabs at once.
As always thank you and pass my thanks to Brandon Vetti.
1. Depends on context.
2. Ditto.
3. Animals.
4. I can't tell if I even agree with the premise of your question.
5. He doesn't have that kind of control over a Warrior Beetle. Only over Scout Beetles.
Hey Greg! Hope you are well, super excited to have you back answering questions for us! (thank you!)
I was brushing up on the guidelines and such, and I read along the way that the new game covers the 5 year time skip, does It also continue on through the season 2 content and beyond or strictly the time skip? (I completely understand if you are not at liberty to say)
It doesn't "cover" the five year time skip. Young Justice Legacy tells ONE SIGNIFICANT STORY from during the five year skip. It was never designed to be comprehensive in any way.
Okay so I'll start off with the Summit. When the ambassdador asked where the other members of the light were, ra's replied that their more public members were doing damage control on the reach's reputation. So that clearly means luthor and queen bee, but what about klarion? Now to me he dosnet really fall into the category of a "public member" or "damage control", so why didnt ra's give him an excuse? Was it
A. The Reach had no prior knowledge of klarion?
B. The Reach did know about klarion and were famailar enough with him to know that him showing up at the summit would depend if he felt like it?
Or C. The Reach are uninterested in what klarion does because he only creates chaos, whereas the reach want control?
Now on the topic of klarion(who is a great character) what is his relationship with vandel? It seems to me out of all the members of the light, klarion respects vandel the most or at least to whatever extent he is capable of respect, seeing as how he saved only vandel at the summit and has worked well with him the past. Giving that vandel has been around for 50k years, im guessing he may have met klarion at one point. Now i know you dont tell stories here, but i would to know if my theory is correct.
Final question did klarion go with vandel to apocolaspe? We only saw vandel leave and enter the war world so was anyone else with him?
I think Ra's response put the Reach off that scent in any case.
I'm not going to go into details about Klarion and Vandal's relationship. Nor about specifics not revealed.
Why did Lian stay with her grandmother instead of her father, Roy, when Jade went with Sportsmaster to get revenge on Aqualad?
It made sense at the time.
I support this show 100%, I woke up every Saturday and watched every episode of season 2 and then bought them all on iTunes, but I must say it was quite disappointing in terms of character development. I know you've said season 2 was a story driven season as opposed to season 1, but I mean I expected a few things to be addressed. In True Colors, I expected since Robin was leading the team we would get some insight into why he is so insecure about leading and maybe go into Jason Todd's death and it's impact on the Bat Family. But no, he only leads for a few minutes and then we move right along into the Green Beetle storyline. When Artemis and Miss Martian were fixing Aqualad's mind, I expected we would maybe get a flashback on Tula's death and its impact. But no, we cut away for an episode and then all of a sudden we come back and he's cured.
My question is, were those things originally supposed to be developed and then had to be cut to fit in 20 episodes, or did you only care about the story to be told (which was still great and far superior to many other shows getting renewed)
We did what we wanted to do in the time allotted. Had we had more time and episodes there's no doubt that you would have had more detail on all sorts of things. (Though I can't guarantee our priorities would have matched up with yours.)
Why show Jason Todd if you were never going to address him?
Why not?
(And NEVER is a mighty big word.)
Of all the characters to make the lead of season 2, WHY Jaime Reyes? He has never been able to sustain a title for very long. He makes a fun guest appearance every now and then but I don't think his character is strong enough to sustain an entire show
Well, obviously we disagree.
What was the purpose of the Tim/Cassie pairing? It had no development in the show and had no impact on the story whatsoever. The only thing they appeared to have in common was that both of their characters were horribly underused and we have no idea about either of their origins. At least we got to see Cassie's interaction with WW, we never saw Tim and Batman's relationship. And instead of showing how they got together, we just randomly see them holding hands and then cut to yet another Miss Martian/Superboy moment...
The purpose was to show that life goes on and that things happen off-screen. We couldn't give every character equal time. (Though I'm not sure I'd agree that they were 'horribly underused'.) But we could show glimpses of what was going on with them.
So we know Artemis' middle name is Lian, is that a family name or is Lian named after her aunt, or does Jade just really like that name?
I think it's fairly safe to say Lian is named after her aunt. It may ALSO be a family name. And clearly Jade likes it.
I would like to know how Jason Todd died in Earth-16 and the impact his death had on Dick.
Noted!
Why did you think it was necessary to have so many romantic couples? I get that they're teenagers and teens and many adults are romance crazy, but from a story and character development perspective, it seemed a bit much, especially since so much story was being crammed in already to the point that character development was lacking, and the romances ended up just taking up screentime.
It felt like the right amount to us.
Was the bgm played during the scene when Wally and Artemis kissed in front of the Eiffel Tower the same as their theme in "Salvage"? I'm not sure. If so, it was a nice touch.
I can't remember. Sorry.
Does the team know that Red Arrow is married and has daughter? Did Batman know about nightwing's plan about Kaldur and Artemis going undercover?
1. They do now.
2. Well, he's Batman.

Moderated by Aaron Sparrow (Darkwing Duck: The Duck Knight Returns)
Both panels are gonna be a lot of fun! Come and see!!
First of all, a big Thank You to you and Brandon for creating this show and hopefully we will return to Earth 16 even after YJ Legacy is done.
After having gone through both seasons of YJ, I have the idea that this was about the young heroes crippling the final stage plans of the Light without really destroying them.
First season it seems Savage wanted the League to act as puppets when the Reach would call and then the Light would exterminate the more important league members by convicting them for criminal acts on Rimbor.
Second season was about using the Reach technology to develop the human race into a 'meta'-human race and then making the Reach leave Earth.
I hope I got the major portion of the Light's goals for evolution right. And if so, you guys have nailed it by showing why Vandal Savage, Lex Luthor and Ra's Al Ghul would join together to both limit(Ra's) and evolve(Vandal) the human race so that it didn't have to depend on aliens(Lex) to be their saviour.
Ok,rant over. Would really love to see Darkseid's influence on the Light's plans and hopefully, given the strong reaction to CN's cancelling of your show, will get the chance.
Hopefully, when this Light arc will be over, we will get more of the 'lost years' in between.
Again, thank you for this show.
You're welcome! Thank YOU for watching!
